Painters and Hobby Sites

Destroyer Minis - Website of the nigh-incomparable miniature painter Marike Reimer, who's work you may be most familiar with from Crocodile Games and who's blending brings a tear to the eye.

Alexi Z - Another painter of spectacular talent - Natasha Melnyk (who's name I am no doubt spelling wrong). Her work always amazes me.

TH Miniatures - Stunning minis by Thierry Husser (Ark).
BrokenBlade Studios - A beautiful website filled with beatiful minis by Golden Demon winner Joseph Tomaszewski.
Ultraforge- Sophia amazes me as a sculpter AND as a painter. Her custom resin kits are stunning. Check this out, you gotta.

Parasitic Studios - some truly fantastic custom terrain here, including an amazing modular space hulk board that just has to be seen. Well worth a look!

CoolMiniOrNot - Becoming the place to go for miniature viewing pleasure! IMO the most important resource/site in the mini-painting hobby today. This is my first stop on the web most of the time. I'm also a paying supporter (and if you use it a lot, you should be too) AND I have a couple of models in the 2003 Annual.

Chest of Colors - The place to find the work of CMON's "Mahon". Michal is a great artist who does some really nice conversion and paint work, and also does commission work.

Jakob Rune Nielsen - Although http://www.jrn-works.dk/ is not the catchiest title in the world, this site is not to be missed - galleries, tutorials and more from the European double Slayer Sword winner.

Griffin Painting - very nice site by a painter who's name I cannot determine from the pages therein...and another web banner from Josh Stover. Check it out.

Steve Dean - A bevy of wonderful figure images awaits you here, from the UK studio of Steve Dean. Also some fairly frequent updates and site design changes. Great site.

Dragonforge - Jeff Wilhelm's oustanding work, including an excellent basing tutorial.  Jeff has been promoted to the "frequent updates" section but will be on probation for a while ;)

The Mark of Beltane - This site is run by a group of very talented painters from Italy! Between them they have won numerous Golden Demons, including a Slayer Sword. Beautiful site design, check it out!

Irondog Studios - *stunning* custom banner work for your Warhammer 40k Armies, by Walter Denligner. I've purchased some for myself and can attest to the extremely high quality of his offerings.

Master Craft Studio - Edmonton painter Dan Byer's site. You might remember that Dan had a previous site called Ravenspire which went dormant a long time ago. The new site has a fresh design and some great work can be seen there.

Crooked Eye Studios - Zach's site, with some really sharp confrontation work including an award winning Skiorze Warrior of Dirz, and a weekly favorite winner as well!

Electric Ocean - Wow! Very cool site, frequently updated with news from the mini-world.

Miniature Space - Home of Jason Richards, Multi Golden Demon Winner and painting legend.

Dr. Faust's Painting Clinic - another "what took me so long to post this" link. Almost needs no introduction - tons of material here.

The Gaijin's Dojo - Home of the Raigin' Gaijin,  CJ Cummings.  See his work and check out his articles on competing in the Demons!

Blackmoor - Angela Imrie (Saxonangel)'s Site !  Great NMM tips, galleries and more.

The Miniature Painting Guild - Like Angela, Glyn Evans is a fellow Alberta painter (Canadian, eh!). His site is chock-full of painting goodness and sees frequent updates. His painting has also been improving in leaps and bounds, and he is a "weekly favorite" placer as well. Check it out!

Artisan's Edge - The always excellent work of Patrick Gordon, fellow Canadian and all around nice guy.  Definitely worth stopping by here. Lot's of fantastic terrain pieces too!

Jenova Project - Great work here by Inge Mygind Jensen.  With a name like "Jenova Project" you just have to check it out. Also has a link to my site so I'm ashamed that I haven't posted this until now!

Headblast Designz - I believe this is a sort of European Consortium of awesome painters! Great work from these guys, and a great website. Goatman, who does some unreal work, is a member there, as is Jenova (Inge).

Arjay's Land of the Diminutive - Some of the best NMM effects I've seen yet are coming down the pipeline as I type this. Check out that axe!

Slave to Paint - I stumbled onto this site while snooping around CMON. Terrific work here, much of it Golden Demon winning quality.

Stuff of Legends - Great site with some excellent events coverage!

Mini-Vault - Thomas Schadle's site. Great stuff here, including a step-by-step conversion/paintjob of Captain Stern, and a Beeeyoootiful Slaanesh Rhino conversion. Must see.

The Miniature Gallery - Home of Dirk Stiller!  Way overdue for this links page.

Matt Verzani's Website - Golden Demon Winner

Fellshadow - Another in the long list of overdue links. Lilianna Troy's site (LA Slayer Hammer Winner!)

Slapping Paint - Excellent site by painter Craig Stocks

Victoria Lamb Gallery - probably one of my favorite artists these days. Amazing.

Golden Demons - Unofficial Site - Check this out! International winners from past years. A great collection of work by artists around the world.

Prophet Miniatures - Matt Gubser's site and way, way overdue for this page!

Miniature Art - Bobby Wong's Site! (he's a painting God, you have to check this out)

Paintrix - Miniatures by Jennifer Haley. Practically never updated. Jen mostly seems to post her new work on CMON (linked above).

Gamesday LA - My entries for Gamesday LA 2004.

Online Stores and Manufacturers

Sentry Box - Awesome online retailer for Canada. Large selection of Vallejo, Confrontation - you name it. Calgary based. I order from them far too often. Service and selction are fantastic. Can you tell I'm a fan?

Games Workshop - The Big One.

Intersponge - I've tried numerous different miniatures cases (GW, Charon, UltraPro, and generic toolboxes etc). By far the transport I purchased from Intersponge is the one I like best, so I'm linking to them in case anyone else is in the market for a case.

Reaper Miniatures - Reaper makes hordes of awesome, unique RPG and sci-fi based miniatures, and their new website is chock full of good stuff. Check out the active forums and the online painting contest.

The Warstore - A superlative online retailer. I've used them a few times, Neal's service, selection and prices are just outstanding. Great source for Warmachine which can be hard to find.

Spyglass Miniatures - the outstanding sculpts of Steve Buddle. I've had the pleasure of painting one of these so far and the quality was excellent . Highly recommended.

Warmachine - Awesome new game from Privateer Press. Very active forums, I go there quite frequently.

Rackham Store - I don't order here, but they have a great online gallery with big pictures of the miniature paintjobs, and also have new releases showcased. I visit the site frequently.
